Series of practical and informative talks on global issues in ELT: ecology, social sciences, threats for freedom and peace.

Mission:

It seems that in the face of rapid changes in our environment, politics, and society, learning about ecology, global changes and local conflicts are very significant.

Even distant events or processes affect the environment in which we live.

Students of public schools or private schools students appreciate the opportunity to explore the subject in English.

Probably many teachers would be interested in cooperation in promoting the subject, however  difficult it is.

The fee includes the 6 hours of talks, ideas and resources for teaching about global issues. Also, during the Global Inspirations    we will treat you with coffee and some snacks.

All participants will receive a Certificate of Attendance issued by IATEFL Poland. Additionally, Warsaw public school teachers will obtain WCIES Certificate of Attendance if they register to the event through http://www.kursy.wcies.edu.pl.

 

Aims:

  1. Update EFL teachers about the most important global issues worth mentioning.
  2. Present the methods proven in tackling difficult or controversial topics in the classroom.
  3. Provide teachers with resources, techniques and ideas.
  4. Present the resources of the event partners.
